Managing mechanical commissioning during preparation and execution stages of the NFXP Offshore Project, ensuring objectives are safely met within approved scope and schedule. The role involves overseeing all commissioning activities for mechanical equipment, requiring strong communication skills, initiative, and collaboration to achieve technical goals safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical commissioning execution to meet schedule and safety requirements.
- Lead onshore and offshore commissioning activities per project targets.
- Review and approve Operational Test Procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and execution of test packs (N2/He leak tests, HOF).
- Oversee pre-commissioning of safety valves.
- Ensure SECEs meet performance standards.
- Verify availability of spare parts and special tools.
- Review and assess commissioning changes for cost and schedule impacts.
- Ensure certification readiness of SECE packages.
- Manage system completion, walkdowns, and PSSR.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering
- 8+ years commissioning experience on medium to large Oil & Gas projects
- Expert in interpreting P&IDs, datasheets, general arrangement drawings, and procedures
- Knowledgeable in contract compliance, codes, standards, and technical specifications
- Experience with LNG industry vendors (compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides)
- Worked in large-scale operations across Operations, Projects, and Subsurface departments
- Managed commissioning and performed OTPs for offshore critical mechanical equipment (cranes, monorails, lifeboats)
- Familiar with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
- Skilled in coordinating with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Applied knowledge of stakeholder specifications and industry standards
- Provided start-up support to Operations teams
- Offshore environment experience is a plus
