Job Description
Assist the SHES Lead in implementing project SHES plans and ensuring Contractor HSES compliance across Brownfield, Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC) activities, while providing offshore SHES coordination, support and advice to EPC Contractors, Subcontractors and Vendors.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and control project risks through risk assessments, Method Statements and JSAs.
  • Conduct audits, inspections and safety observations to verify controls and improve SHES performance.
  • Deliver onboarding and job-specific training to ensure workforce competency.
  • Coordinate emergency response planning and implementation with Contractors.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement appropriate controls.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support lessons learned and continuous SHES improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in SHES Steering Committee meetings and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with construction, project and operations teams to resolve SHES issues.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Safety, HSE, Security or Engineering, or equivalent SHES qualification.
  • Minimum 8 years’ SHES experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Broad experience in major project execution and Brownfield onshore/offshore production facilities.

Skills and Competencies
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, contractors or service companies.
  • Strong knowledge of SHES management systems and programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement Oil & Gas project management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills.
