Job Description

Provides piping and layout engineering support for the project through assessment, demolition and restoration, ensuring compliant, safe and fit-for-purpose designs. Supports technical assurance, resource planning, discipline development, deviation reviews and stakeholder guidance throughout the project lifecycle.


 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead piping engineering discipline resources, technical authorities and service delivery.
  • Review and approve designs, studies and technical deliverables for compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Assess engineering concepts and designs, recommending safe, optimized and fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Develop discipline competency through training, knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Provide technical input on project strategies, design philosophies, safety and operability.
  • Plan and deploy resources, supporting recruitment, mobilization and competency assessments.
  • Advise project teams on piping and layout engineering from concept through commissioning and startup.
  • Coordinate piping and layout engineering activities to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Support discipline standards, technical assurance and engineering standardization initiatives.
  • Review and approve technical deviations, waivers and variations within delegated authority.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 years’ engineering experience, including 4 years in Oil & Gas and 1 year in a supervisory/oversight role.
  • Basic knowledge of 3D modelling tools (PDS/SP3D).
  • Strong piping and layout engineering experience across design, construction and operations.
  • FEED and EPC detailed design experience.
  • Knowledge of international engineering standards, codes and specifications.

  • Advanced computer literacy with professional and technical applications.
  • Knowledge of Document Control and Information Management processes.
