To provide advanced technical oversight of site inspection activities, ensure the competency and performance of Contractors’ QA/QC Inspectors, and verify that all E/I inspections are carried out in accordance with COMPANY standards, project specifications, and international codes. This role serves as the field-level focal point for inspection supervision and reporting functionally to the QA/QC Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement company\'s Quality Management System (QMS) and Project Quality Plan.
- Ensure compliance with company\'s discipline-specific technical specifications.
- Review contractor quality deliverables and provide clear feedback.
- Coordinate professionally with contractors and third parties.
- Verify effective implementation of contractor procedures and processes.
- Conduct material/equipment receipt, visual and dimensional inspections.
- Perform installation, testing and calibration quality inspections.
- Maintain latest quality documents and records in accordance with document control requirements.
- Prepare daily inspection reports and highlight significant quality issues.
- Conduct Quality Walkabouts, surveillance and audits; document findings.
- Track and facilitate NCR follow-up and close-out.
- Represent the company as the project quality “eyes and ears.”
- Familiar with Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
- Knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, UPS, batteries, lighting and small power.
- Knowledge of DCS, ESD, PLC, instrumentation, transmitters, gauges, analysers and tubing.
- Familiar with Fire & Gas, PAGA and telecom systems.
- Familiar with cybersecurity and network equipment.
- Monitor ongoing site works against company\'s specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company\'s HSE requirements.
- Maintain observation registers and track proposed corrective solutions per company Policy.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with Electrical/Instrumentation Trade Certification preferred.
- 8+ years of QA/QC experience in the Oil & Gas industry, covering greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Strong shutdown inspection experience, preferably in LNG facilities and live operating environments.
- Experienced in inspections and contractor oversight across procurement, fabrication and construction.
- Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation codes/standards: IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, NEMA, NETA and ATEX/IECEx 60079.
- Familiar with QA/QC principles, practices and inspection requirements.
