Reporting to Head of Construction, the Construction Specialist is responsible for managing the lifting and scaffolding activities, including protection of all project materials from preparation stage to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety compliance during fabrication activities.
• Manage Topsides lifting & scaffolding works for Safety, Quality & Schedule.
• Supervise Contractor/Subcontractor lifting and scaffolding activities.
• Verify constructability and technical compliance.
• Review standards deviations and construction dossiers.
• Monitor progress, quality, and corrective actions.
• Review progress reports and identify critical issues.
• Coordinate lifting & scaffolding activities and reporting.
• Participate in risk assessments, pre-job, and technical meetings.
• Support REX and Lessons Learned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• 8 years’ experience in large Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Strong specialist experience in lifting & scaffolding.
• Experience in acting/lead roles or supervising service/vendor personnel.
• Relevant additional experience may substitute for technical education.

Skills and Competencies

• Oil & Gas, EPC, service, or heavy construction experience.
• Knowledge of design standards, codes, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Experience in fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield, and hook-up.
• Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities and yard operations.
• Understanding of sour gas and LNG execution methods and risks.
• Experience in large-scale Operations, Projects, or Subsurface organizations.
