Reporting to Head of Construction, the Construction Specialist is responsible for managing the material & preservation activities, including protection of all project materials from preparation stage to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure fabrication safety and regulatory compliance.
- Manage Topsides structural fabrication for Safety, Quality & Schedule.
- Supervise Contractor/Subcontractor materials and preservation.
- Verify constructability and technical compliance.
- Review standards deviations and construction dossiers.
- Monitor progress, quality, and corrective actions.
- Review progress reports and identify critical issues.
- Coordinate structural, MC, pre-commissioning & commissioning activities.
- Participate in risk assessments and technical meetings.
- Support REX and Lessons Learned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas project execution.
- Experience in material & preservation activities within EPC projects.
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory/lead role.
- Experience overseeing service/vendor personnel.
- Relevant additional experience may substitute for technical education.
Skills and Competencies
- Oil & Gas, EPC, service, or heavy construction experience.
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
- Experience in fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield, and hook-up activities.
- Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities and yard operations.
- Understanding of sour gas and LNG execution methods and risks.
- Experience in large-scale Operations, Projects, or Subsurface organizations.
