Piping Superintendent manages offshore piping fabrication and erection, ensuring safe, quality, and timely execution through effective planning, coordination, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote safe work practices through site engagement, TBTs, and risk assessments.
Ensure proper preservation of piping systems as per project specifications.
Manage piping fabrication, installation, completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.
Supervise contractor/subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards.
Review constructability, technical compliance, and engineering deliverables.
Coordinate deviations, documentation, and project dossiers with contractors.
Identify progress and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Share lessons learned and best practices with project teams.
Qualifications:
Diploma with 8+ years’ experience in offshore topsides/decks/living quarters piping supervision.
Experience with multinational teams and large-scale offshore projects.
Knowledge of carbon steel, exotic, GRE, and CRA clad piping systems.
Experienced in spool fabrication, installation, and piping completion activities (line walks, testing, flushing, reinstatement, flange management).
Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, specifications, and construction practices.
Ability to manage site issues, construction risks, and execution challenges.
Proven safety track record and strong communication skills.
Familiar with offshore fabrication, transportation, installation, brownfield, and hook-up activities.
Knowledge of sour gas and LNG facility execution methods and risks.
Experience working within major operating organizations and project environments.
