Responsible for all hydrographic functions, ensuring accurate marine data, quality, safety, and timely, cost-effective delivery of the RLIC Port dredging, reclamation, and NFW Offplot marine works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute hydrographic, topographic, offshore, and drone surveys.
- Manage survey equipment, vessels, software, and project setup.
- Oversee data acquisition, processing, quality control, and reporting.
- Produce charts, DTMs, volume calculations, and survey deliverables.
- Lead survey teams and coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Develop survey scopes, methodologies, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with IHO, IMCA, ISO, HSEQ, and safety standards.
- Provide survey support for dredging, reclamation, pipelines, and marine construction.
- Mentor survey personnel and manage training and performance
Qualifications:
- IHO Category A Hydrographic Certification with formal hydrographic training.
- 10–15 years of hydrographic survey experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Expertise in bathymetric, geophysical, and seabed surveys.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in PDS 2000, HYPACK, CARIS, AutoCAD, GIS, and survey data processing.
- Strong knowledge of IHO, IMO, HSE, and offshore survey standards.
- Skilled in survey vessel operations, equipment calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Experienced with multibeam, side-scan sonar, DGPS, and subsea positioning systems.
- Proven leadership in managing survey teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, contract management, and project coordination skills.
- Middle East project experience preferred.
