Job Description
Lead marine safety, QA, and compliance for offshore operations, ensuring standardized oversight, expert support to project teams, and effective incident management and continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Led marine safety, QA, and compliance for projects per client and international standards.
  • Managed marine assurance activities including vessel suitability, audits, inspections, and DP assurance.
  • Coordinated with OPCO Marine, PMTs, EPC, and contractors to ensure consistent marine execution.
  • Acted as marine focal point for incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Ensured qualified marine personnel and adherence to safety leadership and risk management practices.
  • Implemented lesson learned process and continuous improvement across marine operations.
  • Supported urgent marine issues, breakdowns, and critical offshore situations.
  • Reviewed T&I deliverables and coordinated MWS and EPC marine assurance closeouts and compliance tracking.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in marine/engineering or Marine Chief Engineer/Master certificate.
  • 10+ years seagoing experience, including Chief Engineer/Master roles.
  • Strong experience managing offshore marine units in Oil & Gas projects.
  • Expertise in offshore vessels, heavy lift, installation, DP systems, and marine construction operations.

Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledge of DP systems, FMEA, trials, ASOG/CAM and marine assurance processes.
  • Strong understanding of IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM and other maritime regulations.
  • Experience in marine safety, QA, compliance, and Middle East operations preferred.
  • MWS/Marine consultancy experience and IMCA certification advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work offshore with strong teamwork and cross-cultural coordination skills.
