Lead negotiation and resolution of major contractual claims with NFXP contractors and LLI suppliers, ensuring Company interests and timely dispute resolution
Key Responsibilities:
- Advised PMT on major claims and coordinated with Legal, Supply, and Finance.
- Developed dispute resolution strategies and claims management plans.
- Reviewed contractor claims (entitlement, causation, quantum) and defined Company position.
- Managed claims correspondence, risk assessment, and position papers.
- Ensured compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Maintained major claims register and supported management reporting.
- Facilitated dispute resolution to avoid escalation to arbitration/litigation.
- Prepared governance documents and settlement agreements with Legal and PMT.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, Supply Chain or related field.
- 8+ years business experience, including 4+ years in Oil & Gas and supervisory exposure.
- Strong experience in EPCI contracts, claims, and dispute resolution in offshore projects.
Skills and Competencies
- Proven ability in negotiation and amicable settlement of contractual disputes.
- Exposure to arbitration, litigation, and formal dispute resolution processes.
- Knowledge of Middle East legal frameworks preferred.
- Strong English communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in planning tools (P6 preferred), MS Office, and contract documentation.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and legal/contractual awareness.
