Job Description
The Commissioning Lead (CP) provides commissioning oversight and support to contractors, vendors, and EPC teams, ensuring effective coordination across all commissioning phases. They assist with planning, systemization, procedure review, inspections, and testing to optimize onshore execution and offshore commissioning schedules.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review EPC/subcontractor documents and attend key meetings as needed
  • Assess technical proposals, deviations, and new technologies for compliance
  • Capture and share lessons learned across projects
  • Support qualification of new suppliers
  • Monitor manpower levels and recommend adjustments or support
  • Support schedule adherence and recovery planning for key milestones
  • Witness works and sign off test/check sheets
  • Verify progress reporting accuracy
  • Participate in audits and support corrective actions
  • Manage systems completion deliverables and ensure compliant handover to operations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering
  • 8+ years’ Oil & Gas commissioning experience, including supervisory/lead roles
  • Strong knowledge of design standards, codes, safety criteria, and offshore facilities
  • Expertise in mechanical packaged and rotating equipment and technical risk assessment
  • Experience in commissioning, completions, walkdowns, and PSSR processes
  • Proven background in EPC commissioning, systemization, and deliverable management
  • Skilled in check sheet development, allocation, and commissioning documentation
  • Familiar with O&G operations, contractors, and service/vendor environments
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, and procedures
  • Knowledge of full project lifecycle: engineering, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up
  • Strong understanding of contract compliance and technical specifications
  • Experience with LNG equipment vendors (compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides)
  • Exposure to large-scale operating organizations and start-up support activities
