Execute and support inspection activities during the EPC and startup phases until handover to the permanent asset team, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of new facilities through early detection of defects in accordance with established policies, procedures, instructions, and performance targets.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs visual inspections and NDT on static and rotating equipment (vessels, boilers, piping, PSV, etc.) and issues reports.
• Assesses equipment integrity and records findings using Meridium or similar systems.
• Monitors maintenance and project work to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures.
• Conducts/supervises NDT (PT, MT, UT, PMI, hardness, thermography, etc.) in line with safety and technical requirements.
• Raises and tracks inspection recommendations and notifications in Meridium/SAP until closure.
• Maintains inspection tools and equipment; supports procurement of new instruments.
• Updates inspection records and ensures accurate documentation in company systems.
• Supervises contractor inspection activities to ensure quality and compliance.
• Performs additional inspection tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• HND in Engineering
• 4 years of in-service inspection experience

Skills and Competencies

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and relevant inspection software
• Experience with Meridium or similar data management systems
• Understanding of risk-based inspection, corrosion mechanisms, and damage evaluation
• Basic knowledge of plant processes and materials
• Knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT, and advanced NDT techniques)
• Familiar with relevant international codes and standards
• Holds API 510/570 or equivalent; API 653 as applicable
