Oversees onshore EPC contractor for piping and associated scope, covering design, equipment, materials, and execution from detailed engineering through procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. Ensures all technical deliverables comply with project specifications and coordinates interfaces so design supports full lifecycle production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads piping engineering team, ensuring technical quality, QA, and delivery within schedule.
- Defines and manages EPC piping scope, optimizing procedures, deliverables, cost, and schedule.
- Coordinates with multi-discipline teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Ensures compliance with applicable standards, policies, and project management systems.
- Oversees EPC contractor piping field engineering, including staffing, tools, and execution compliance.
- Assesses contractor capability, reporting performance gaps and recommending support.
- Manages contract technical scope, documentation, and timely purchase order delivery.
- Controls piping engineering schedule, milestones, reporting, and recovery planning.
- Updates and maintains piping engineering procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in piping engineering
- 4 years in Oil & Gas
- 1 year in a supervisory or contractor oversight role.
- LNG project field experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engineering execution, design standards, codes, safety criteria, and LNG/onshore facility systems.
- Good understanding of construction and operations in oil & gas environments.
