Job Description
Leads electrical engineering for the NFS Onshore Project, ensuring compliance with specifications and delivery standards. Supports EPC contractors and vendors in resolving technical issues across design, procurement, and integration. Oversees installation, testing, and commissioning activities, and provides field support during start-up and early operations until performance testing is completed.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures electrical works comply with standards, safety, and project requirements
  • Leads design and EPC engineering execution in line with regulations and specifications
  • Resolves technical issues and escalates when needed
  • Reviews electrical system studies (HV, motors, VFDs, generation, power management)
  • Evaluates technical content of equipment purchase orders for safe integration
  • Assesses schedules and provides progress, risk, and recovery inputs
  • Updates electrical design philosophies, specs, and procedures
  • Monitors EPC deliverables and provides technical guidance and support
  • Supports cross-discipline coordination, commissioning, and start-up activities
  • Manages interfaces with utilities, facilities, and third parties

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ years engineering experience, including supervisory/contractor oversight and oil & gas exposure
  • Experience in major LNG projects preferred
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, safety criteria, and onshore LNG/utility systems
  • Extensive electrical systems experience (HV/MV/LV, transformers, switchgear, power management, large motors up to 40MW+)
  • Understanding of electrical system controls, load sharing, and power distribution systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes
  • Experience in high-voltage, large-scale onshore power system design
