Lead Marine Incident Management, Reporting and Investigation processes for Major Projects. Identify events latent conditions, monitor negative trends and actions on effective improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee Marine Assurance & Vessel Surveillance programs across Major Projects (MP).
- Monitor vessel performance and report Marine Operations KPIs.
- Act as Marine focal point with company\'s Marine, Offshore Operations, and PMTs.
- Develop marine execution standards and support vessel/vendor qualification and selection.
- Lead/support marine risk assessments with stakeholders, contractors, and vessel owners.
- Consolidate marine unit forecasts and optimize vessel/resource utilization across projects.
- Manage marine incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support defect, breakdown, and restart management to minimize offshore downtime.
- Standardize marine assurance processes, share lessons learned, and issue safety alerts.
- Promote marine safety leadership, HSES excellence, and proactive safety culture initiatives.
- Serve as Contract Representative for MWS & Consultancy contracts and manage contractor interfaces.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Marine Discipline, or Engineering, or Marine First Class Certificate of Competency.
- 10+ years seagoing experience, including 2+ years as Master or Chief Engineer.
- Extensive experience managing offshore marine units in the oil & gas industry.
- Strong offshore installation and major project execution management experience.
- Solid knowledge of oil & gas industry bodies and maritime regulations.
- Strong operational marine and offshore logistics expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations, codes, and standards.
- Experience with critical marine operations: heavy lift, transport, pipe/cable lay, barges, and DSVs.
- Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems, DP FMEA, DP trials, and ASOG/CAM.
- Experience establishing and managing Marine Assurance & Compliance processes.
- Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and marine consultancy experience is an advantage.
- IMCA accreditation/certification preferred.
