Provide cost management for the NFW Onplot Project covering estimating, forecasting, reporting, allocation, planning and cost stewardship. Monitor contractor cost and change control performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives and advising corrective action where needed. Develop and refine procedures to meet business requirements and guide team members to maintain effective financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost management across estimating, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and control.
- Ensure budget compliance through governance reviews, funding support, and alignment of cost at completion.
- Maintain WBS/CBS, cost databases, and benchmarking for accurate planning and estimating.
- Prepare cost estimates, WP&B, and support change order evaluations.
- Monitor contractor cost performance and drive corrective actions with Project Controls.
- Advise on cost risks and mitigation and ensure recovery plans are implemented.
- Verify commitments and change orders and maintain accurate cost reporting systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management
- 8+ years’ experience in project cost control for EPC oil & gas capital projects with strong project controls knowledge
- Experience on major owner-side projects managing EPC lump sum contracts in multi-cultural environments with large local subcontractors
Skills and Competencies
- Familiar with SAP and finance enterprise systems (advantage).
- Skilled in Class 1–5 cost estimating, budgeting, and lifecycle forecasting.
- Capable of handling complex tasks independently and guiding staff when required.
- Proactive in delivering timely, cost-effective financial reporting and analysis.
- Understands broader project and organizational context and cross-functional relationships.
- Works independently within established procedures, budgets, and plans, contributing to their improvement.
- Manages own workload and coordinates team efforts for efficiency.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong negotiation, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and general database applications.
