Management and resolution of major claims submitted by NFXP Offshore contractors and LLI suppliers.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise PMT on major claims, negotiations, and coordination with Legal, Finance, and P&D
• Develop dispute resolution strategies; assess risks and opportunities
• Facilitate contractor claim presentations and discussions
• Review and evaluate claims (entitlement, causation, quantum) with stakeholder alignment
• Prepare company position papers on potential claims
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
• Maintain and update the Master Claims Register
• Support dispute resolution to avoid arbitration/litigation
• Prepare recommendations, presentations, and settlement documents for claim closure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Administration, Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience (4+ in Oil & Gas; 1+ in supervisory/oversight roles)

Skills and Competencies

• CIArb membership preferred
• Strong experience in EPCI contract administration and claims management (offshore, large-scale projects)
• Proven success in amicable dispute resolution
• Hands-on experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation processes
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern legal frameworks preferred
• Planning & cost control knowledge (Primavera P6 preferred)
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and issue-resolution skills
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Proficient in MS Office and standard business tools
• Solid understanding of arbitration procedures (Redfern Schedules, document disclosure, statements of case/defence, witness prep, legal coordination)
