Job Description
Lead static equipment engineering for offshore projects, ensuring all technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, etc.) comply with project and international standards, while providing expert mechanical guidance to support safe, reliable, and compliant equipment design in coordination with the Engineering Manager.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure contractor mechanical engineering complies with contract, codes, and project standards.
  • Review/approve key equipment deliverables (test separators, pig traps, chemical tanks) and discipline inputs.
  • Evaluate and endorse technical bids against project specifications.
  • Plan and track engineering deliverables in line with company systems and policies.
  • Participate in design reviews (HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, 3D, etc.) and ensure action closure.
  • Monitor contractor progress on static equipment documentation with Engineering Manager.
  • Coordinate technical deviations with subject matter experts.
  • Manage interfaces across topsides, pipelines, operations, and onshore teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 years of engineering experience, including 4 years in major oil and gas projects.
  • 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering execution, including design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
  • Experience in offshore facilities design, construction, and operations.

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary, multicultural PMT and offshore environments.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in standard office and relevant technical applications.
  • Good understanding of mechanical equipment, piping, pipelines, structural, instrumentation, telecom, and electrical systems.
