Leads and oversees ICSS activities during offshore hook-up and commissioning, coordinating closely with contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure compliance with standards and smooth execution. Provides technical guidance, supports change management, reviews and approves procedures, and ensures accurate documentation throughout all phases, ultimately driving project readiness for safe and efficient handover to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review critical EPC contractor documents and attend key workshops/meetings as required
- Evaluate technical proposals, deviations, and new technologies for compliance with project standards
- Apply and share lessons learned across projects
- Support qualification of new, non-approved suppliers
- Assess contractor manpower and provide timely recommendations, including backfill support if needed
- Monitor project schedule and critical milestones; develop and manage recovery plans for delays
- Witness contractor work and sign off test/check sheets per requirements
- Verify accuracy of contractor progress reports
- Participate in quality audits, report findings, and support issue resolution plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Science or Engineering
- 8+ years Oil & Gas commissioning experience, including supervisory/oversight roles
- Expertise in hook-up, commissioning, PSSR, and ICSS on large EPC projects
- Knowledge of design codes, standards, and safety criteria for fabrication, installation, and hook-up
- Skilled in P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, and procedures
- Experience with contractors, service companies, and LNG vendors
- Familiar with project execution, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system handover
- Knowledge of contract compliance, technical specifications, and start-up support
