Job Description
Perform Telecom/Instrument Engineering activities for NFPS scope in Karimun Indonesia up to sailaway, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, data sheets, drawings, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and are delivered to applicable standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure telecom/instrument engineering and procurement comply with regulations, project specifications, and approved changes.

  • Support contractor teams and resolve telecom/instrument design issues aligned with project objectives.

  • Coordinate system purchase orders with EPC contractors and vendors for safe integration with existing and new facilities.

  • Develop and update project philosophies, policies, and procedures related to telecom/instrument engineering.

  • Provide technical support and recommendations on telecom and instrumentation matters.

  • Contribute to safety studies (e.g., HAZOP) and support project decision-making.

  • Plan and schedule telecom/instrument engineering deliverables.

  • Monitor contractor engineering performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Review engineering changes including cost and schedule impacts per PMOC procedures.

  • Maintain telecom and instrumentation lessons learned register.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering.

  • Minimum 8 years’ telecom/instrument engineering experience, preferably in major oil & gas projects.

  • Knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety, offshore design, construction, and operations.

  • Experience working with major EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors in the oil & gas industry.

  • Experience with QELNG and shareholder projects (e.g., QatarEnergy, ExxonMobil, Shell, TotalEnergies).

  • Brownfield and greenfield project experience in both offshore and onshore environments.

  • Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA, NEC, and API.

  • Strong knowledge of hazardous area classification for telecom and instrumentation applications.


Skills and Competencies
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Strong computer literacy in office and technical applications.

  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.

  • International experience with contractors, particularly in offshore LNG construction projects.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills within a PMT environment.
