The role leads and governs the Project Controls function, ensuring accurate, timely control of cost, schedule, progress, and risk in line with approved baselines and standardised processes. It oversees EPC performance, protects budget and milestone commitments, and provides reliable reporting and insights to enable informed decisions and successful project delivery.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all project controls functions by establishing effective procedures and workflows.

• Coordinate project control activities and PMT inputs.

• Ensure contractors apply robust schedule, planning, and progress controls; recommend corrective actions.

• Interface with project leadership and EPC contractor on cost, schedule, and reporting; maintain the Project Control Plan and MOC.

• Consolidate and report cost, schedule, trends, and progress; prepare cost estimates.

• Evaluate and integrate schedule and cost impacts of changes.

• Oversee workforce planning and consistent change management.

• Monitor contractor performance and maintain integrated planning systems.

• Review invoices, resolve queries, and support accounting and audit needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering

• 12 years’ experience across project functions (management, engineering, construction, procurement) in the Oil & Gas industry

• Minimum 3 years of project management leadership on a major Oil & Gas project

Skills and Competencies

• Extensive experience with Oil & Gas operators, EPCs, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.

• Proven ability to manage all project phases, including start-up, handover, and technical issue resolution.

• Broad knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost control, gating, risk and change management, interfaces, commissioning, and handover.

• Strong grasp of engineering disciplines, international standards, design practices, and risk-based decision making.
