Performs welding, weld preparation, and finishing operations to fabricate and repair metal products according to company drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute welding operations using MIG, TIG, Stick, Oxy-Acetylene, and Plasma cutting techniques on plates, pipes, and various metals in all positions (flat, vertical, overhead).

• Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Prepare workpieces, set up weld parameters (amps, volts, gas flow), and fabricate necessary fixtures.

• Inspect welds using precision measuring instruments; conduct hydrostatic, X-ray, and other quality tests.

• Finish welded surfaces with manual and power tools.

• Maintain welding equipment and adhere to safety and quality standards (ASME Section IX compliance).

Qualifications:

• Secondary education (12 years) plus 2-year technical apprenticeship leading to a recognized welding diploma.

• 8 years’ experience in gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry as a welder.

Skills and Competencies

• ASME Section IX certified; able to pass company internal welding tests.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
