Erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding to provide safe work platforms, access, and ladders in industrial facilities.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, select, and erect system scaffolds and towers per drawings and instructions.

• Prepare ground and base supports, and assemble steel pipes, braces, and clamps.

• Install horizontal platforms using planks; add ladders for safe access.

• Check levels and structural stability of scaffolding regularly.

• Use prefabricated scaffolding for lower heights and select appropriate platform materials.

• Dismantle scaffolding safely after job completion.

• Comply with HSE, OHS regulations, and CSA standards.

Qualifications:

• Secondary education (12 years) plus 2-year technical apprenticeship.

• 8 years of experience in gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of scaffolding hazards and safety precautions.

• Physically fit, able to work at heights, with good balance and teamwork skills.
