Performs skilled brush, spray, and roller painting, mixing and applying various paints and epoxy coatings. Carries out surface preparation including sandblasting and finishing for industrial and building surfaces.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Receives work assignments, prepares materials, tools, and equipment, and executes tasks on-site.

• Prepares surfaces internally and externally, including scraping, sanding, filling cracks, and protecting surrounding areas.

• Identifies paint type and color, mixes and applies coatings using brush, spray gun, or roller, considering weathering and existing surfaces.

• Paints buildings, industrial installations, pipelines, tanks, columns, and machinery in enamel, whitewash, rust-preventive, or other coatings.

• Applies identification markings and numbers on pipelines, manfolds, tanks, and structures.

• Conducts surface preparation mechanically (sandblasting, wire brushing) and operates/maintains sandblasting equipment.

• Complies with all safety, fire, and environmental regulations, maintaining clean and safe work areas.

Qualifications:

• Secondary education (12 years) plus 2-year technical diploma in painting/blasting.

• 8 years of experience in gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry as painter/blaster.

Skills and Competencies

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
