Performs skilled fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of metal parts and tools using workshop machinery, ensuring high accuracy and precision according to specifications.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, maintain, and repair metal objects using lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and similar equipment.

• Perform precision work on pistons, shafts, bowls, impellers, and other components.

• Receive instructions via blueprints, sketches, layouts, or references to worn/broken parts.

• Determine work methods, maintain quality standards, and ensure conformity with specifications.

• Adjust, clean, and store tools and machinery, maintaining safety and efficiency.

• Apply knowledge of materials, tools, methods, and standard machinist practices.

• Continuously improve operations, streamline processes, and collaborate to provide quality service.

Qualifications:

• Secondary education (12 years) plus 2-year full-time technical diploma in machining.

• 8 years of experience in gas, refinery, or petrochemical plants.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Skills and Competencies

• Skilled in operating lathes, milling, boring machines, shapers, radial drills, etc.

• Familiar with all safety hazards and precautions of the machinist trade.

• Able to read, interpret, and create blueprints and schematics.
