Provide specialist engineering cost control for department activities, maintenance, and shutdown programs at the plant. Monitor budgets, evaluate projects, and ensure cost-effective execution of plant availability programs.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, shutdowns, and turnaround activities; monitor execution via SAP and MS Project.

• Reconcile monthly costs against budgets and highlight variances.

• Coordinate with Commercial for bids, service contracts, and contract terms; lead technical bid evaluations.

• Plan and review resource allocation (manpower, materials, equipment) for shutdowns and major maintenance.

• Ensure systematic cost engineering methods, maintain SAP/CMMS updates, and prepare cost performance reports.

• Liaise with Plant Availability, Operations, Turnaround, and Maintenance Planning teams.

• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and safe work practices.

• Train and support assigned Qatari personnel; monitor progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or relevant Engineering discipline.

Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Cost Engineer in gas or petrochemical facilities.
