The Commissioning Specialist I&C oversees and ensures all commissioning activities for field instrumentation and integrated control and safety systems (ICSS) on offshore platforms, verifying that EPC contractors meet project specifications, international standards, and client requirements for safe and timely system handover.
Review EPC I&C deliverables for commissioning readiness.
Witness pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Verify installation, calibration, and configuration of instruments and systems.
Ensure ICSS/DCS/PLC readiness and HMI verification.
Validate loop integrity, signal quality, and grounding.
Approve I&C procedures covering interlocks, trips, and alarms.
Conduct system walkdowns and loop verification.
Lead cause & effect and system integration testing.
Support dynamic commissioning and control loop tuning.
Witness FATs, SATs, and update as-built documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering
8 years I&C commissioning experience.
3+ years in PMT/supervisory roles in large Oil & Gas projects
Offshore platform and topside experience preferred
Strong knowledge of instruments and ICSS systems, including DCS, ESD, F&G, and PLC interfaces
Strong commitment to safety and site protocols
EPC support experience in planning and execution
Excellent organizational, technical judgment, and decision-making skills
Ability to handle tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities
Excellent English communication and influencing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced computer literacy
