The role focuses on implementing the project quality management program and ensuring the contractor’s quality system is effectively applied during fabrication of jackets and topsides for the NFPS Compression Projects. It also includes supervising all quality-related activities during FEED execution to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain close coordination with the Yard Fabrication team to resolve quality issues promptly.

• Work with inspectors to identify, communicate, and rectify quality concerns.

• Implement QatarEnergy’s Quality Management System for assessing and verifying EPC contractor activities.

• Provide feedback on quality issues, drive lessons-learned closure, and report overall quality performance.

• Participate in safety programs, including site safety walks and observation card reporting.

• Communicate and coordinate regularly with the Head of Quality and Quality Division Manager on contractor, subcontractor, and vendor quality performance.

• Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned by the Head of Quality.

• Manage non-conformances and technical deviations with the Head of Quality and site engineering team.

• Support the lessons-learned process to capture and apply quality improvements from fabrication activities.

• Identify progress or quality concerns and recommend necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.

• Additional qualifications in quality, welding, or NDE inspection.

• Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas quality experience

• At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.

• Experience with Oil & Gas operators, contractors, or service companies.

• Background in large-scale operations and project environments.

• Strong knowledge of quality systems, specifications, and tools.

• Familiarity with relevant industry standards.

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and facilitation abilities.

• Capable of developing and implementing Quality Management Systems for the Oil & Gas industry.

• Confident in interacting with project management teams and contractors.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
