Performs routine and specialized chemical and physical tests, interprets results, and prepares reports to monitor and optimize chemical conditions for safe, efficient operation and long-term integrity of power and water plant processes. Requires strong knowledge of chemical and environmental issues related to Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plants, desalination facilities, and associated auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Strong chemistry/chemical engineering foundation for power and desalination plants

Expertise in cooling water, HRSG, desalination chemistry, and potable water production
-
Implements plant chemistry best practices per OEM, PWPA, and international standards
-
Supports training, team development, and long-term engineering strategies
-
Manages lifecycle of HRSGs and MSF desalination units
-
Ensures compliance with legal, environmental, and HSE regulations
-
Conducts water quality testing, chemical analyses, dosing, and process adjustments
-
Maintains lab standards, prepares reagents, and supports chemical stock management
-
Prepares operational and environmental reports
-
Works effectively in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams with computer literacy and strong English skills
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

Minimum 10 years relevant experience in a similar chemistry role

Experience with modern Gas Turbine combined cycle, Balance of Plant, and multistage desalination
-
Knowledge of fire fighting and first aid
