Job Description
The Subsea QA/QC Specialist acts as the project’s quality focal point, ensuring QA/QC compliance across design, procurement, and subsea pipeline repair activities. The role includes supporting FEED and detailed design, verifying procurement quality, overseeing repair acceptance, and developing the Project Quality Plan with risk-based QA/QC controls.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with project systems and prepare plans and schedules.

  • Review FEED and engineering deliverables for the Project Quality Plan.

  • Define quality verification requirements based on project scope.

  • Support tendering by reviewing repair methods, documents, CTRs, bids, and vendors.

  • Monitor and report inspection and testing progress.

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, third parties, and regulators.

  • Review and approve quality deliverables.

  • Verify repairs follow approved methodology.

  • Support underwater inspection scope, execution, and anomaly review.

  • Oversee third-party inspection, certification, and documentation.

  • Lead QA verification across engineering, procurement, and installation for readiness and handover.

  • Manage NCRs, including RCA and close-out.

  • Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements.

  • Uphold health, safety, and environmental requirements.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering from recognized university

  • Valid BOSIET certificate

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent)

  • Experience in QMS audits and QA across Engineering, Procurement, and Repair/Installation phases


Skills and Competencies
  • 15 years in QA/QC for Oil & Gas, 10 years in subsea pipelines

  • Senior QA/QC experience on complex subsea projects

  • Expertise in pipeline operations, integrity, maintenance, and specialized repairs

  • Knowledge of corrosion, failure mechanisms, and SHE standards

  • Skilled in quality plans, ITPs, procedures, and procurement/material assessments

  • Experienced in pipeline coatings, inspections, and source-inspection coordination

  • Support and review underwater inspections (UWI) and report acceptance

  • Familiar with ASME, DNV, API, and ISO design standards
