Job Description
Serve as primary interface with Installation Contractor/Diving Sub-Contractor on matters related to saturation diving, air diving and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) safety and scope of work. Manage and monitor the diving contractor, to ensure diving operations are conducted safely and appropriately in compliance with contractual agreement and industry standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor contractor diving and ROV performance; verify personnel certifications and compliance with approved procedures
  • Support project planning, procedure reviews, and provide technical input on diving and ROV activities
  • Conduct diving plant, ROV, and equipment audits; ensure certifications are valid and audit actions closed
  • Act as focal point between operator and contractor for diving/ROV SIMOPS and PTW coordination
  • Contribute to development of diving SIMOPS documentation (SAT/Air/ROV)
  • Ensure contractor compliance with diving legislation, IOGP guidelines, and IMCA best practices
  • Endorse Consent to Proceed for Air, SAT, and ROV diving operations
  • Monitor all diving operations, including communications, video, SIMOPS, crane interface, bell handling, and environmental suitability
  • Lead emergency response and incident reporting for DCIs and diving treatment protocols

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years offshore commercial diving and supervision (SAT & Air)
  • Experience conducting Diving System Assurance Audits to IMCA D 023/024/053/063
  • Strong knowledge of international diving standards (IMCA, IOGP, ADCI)
  • 5+ years diving operations on DP vessels
  • Sound knowledge of seamanship, marine/vessel, and ROV operations
  • 5+ years subsea installation, repair, and decommissioning
  • 2+ years offshore construction management experience
  • Saturation Diver qualification
  • Saturation or Air Diving Supervisor certification
  • In-date IMCA CPD (for IMCA ADAS/DCBC supervisors)
  • IOGP-aligned Diving Worksite Representative training
  • DESIGN auditing for Saturation, Air, and ROV systems
  • Dynamic Positioning familiarisation training (IMCA M117)
  • Formal HSE qualification (NEBOSH / IOSH)

Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledge of oil & gas industry bodies and diving regulations
  • Strong marine and maritime regulatory knowledge
  • Broad experience in critical offshore marine operations
  • Experience with QatarEnergy LNG or major oil & gas operators is an advantage
