Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all Compression Platform structural fabrication activities from yard operations through load-out, ensuring project objectives are met or exceeded, while ensuring design constructability aligns with approved engineering drawings, industry standards, and fabrication practices through effective issue resolution and strong coordination between company and contractor teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations during fabrication.
- Manage and deliver structural fabrication activities in line with project priorities (Safety, Quality, Schedule).
- Supervise Contractor/Subcontractor fabrication and Mechanical Completion to ensure contractual and international standards compliance.
- Verify constructability and technical compliance of engineering deliverables.
- Review and manage deviations to construction standards and ensure a complete, consistent construction dossier.
- Monitor progress and quality, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Review contractor progress reports and highlight critical issues or delays.
- Coordinate with Contractors/Subcontractors on structural, MC, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Participate in risk assessments, pre-job, technical meetings, and lessons learned activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas EPC structural fabrication, including supervisory responsibility.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of project execution, fabrication, welding, lifting, testing, and completions.
- Experience with Oil & Gas, contractors, or heavy construction.
- Familiar with design standards, codes, and safety for fabrication, transport, and installation.
- Understanding of offshore/onshore facilities, yard operations, and LNG/sour gas risks.
- Experience in large-scale operational or project organizations.
