Job Description
Provide front line safety and technical leadership. Ensuring and assuring safe effective and efficient execution of Civil & Structural activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance to safety, quality and technical policies procedures and standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visible safety leadership, promoting a safety-first culture.

  • Review and comment on civil, structural, and project documents timely.

  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, contracts, and standards.

  • Apply contractual knowledge to address schedule, technical, and cost issues with Contractors.

  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with Contractors and internal teams.

  • Participate in planning and risk assessment meetings; support schedule mitigation.

  • Ensure Contractor follows safety processes through daily/weekly site walkthroughs.

  • Attend onsite planning, safety meetings, and toolbox talks to clarify activities.

  • Support project schedule compliance by identifying constraints and mitigation actions.

  • Review Contractor reports to monitor performance, progress, and status.


Qualifications:
  • Diploma with discipline/trade-specific vocational certification.

  • 8 years’ experience in large construction projects in Oil & Gas (construction, installation, fabrication, hook-up, completion).

  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role, including acting positions.


Skills and Competencies
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PDF for reporting, reviewing, and communication.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to read and interpret approved-for-construction drawings.

  • Skilled in Navisworks (3D model visualization).

  • Capable of preparing, approving, and verifying instrument installation plans.

  • Experienced with document control systems for reviewing and approving technical/project documents.

  • Able to read and interpret Primavera schedules.

  • Proficient in advanced work packaging systems.

  • Extensive experience in civil and structural construction methods, preferably in major LNG projects.

  • Knowledgeable in civil/structural design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria for onshore LNG and utility systems.

  • Familiar with relevant construction processes, industry standards, and codes.
