Oversee all Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities for Piping, HVAC, and Mechanical disciplines executed by the EPC Contractor at the fabrication yard in Karimun, Indonesia. The primary objective of this role is to ensure these critical operations are performed in strict accordance with established procedures, industry standards, and the project plan, thereby guaranteeing safe and effective project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure system completion and commissioning meet NFPS COMP 3 and handover requirements.
- Witness contractor activities and validate test/check sheets per project standards.
- Participate in walkdowns, identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Oversee safe, compliant execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and mechanical completion.
- Review EPC commissioning/operational procedures and confirm system readiness for handover.
- Support and witness FAT/SAT, verifying equipment functionality and recording findings.
- Monitor preservation activities for compliance with project requirements.
- Capture and share lessons learned for inclusion in the project register.
- Approve ITRs and ensure accurate SCDB updates.
- Ensure red-line markups are completed and support accurate as-built documentation.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years’ commissioning experience in Oil & Gas projects.
- At least 3 years in a PMT or supervisory role on large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping and mechanical systems commissioning.
- Minimum 1 year supervisory/acting/oversight experience with service or vendor personnel.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong safety leadership and HSE compliance in commissioning activities.
- Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective decision-making and prioritization under pressure; strong technical and analytical abilities.
- Deep understanding of systems commissioning: leak testing, piping dry-out, rotating equipment tests, functional tests, HVAC.
- Hands-on experience in systemization and SIMOPS with construction and operations.
- Pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up experience on major EPC projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with system completion systems (Hexagon/WinPCS a plus).
