Job Description
Coordinate all technical quality related material science and metallurgical related efforts during the procurement of fabrication services and the procurement, design, manufacture, fabrication, delivery, installation of tangible goods and equipment for Major Projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee metallurgy and welding operations, ensuring risk mitigation.

  • Lead material qualification programs across mills and fabrication facilities.

  • Manage metallurgical investigations and root-cause analyses.

  • Provide technical updates and improvements to Quality Manager.

  • Guide engineers and technicians on material selection and usage.

  • Supervise design/development of equipment and infrastructure.

  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance for material use.

  • Troubleshoot quality/technical issues and review NCRs, TQs, and deviations.

  • Lead product development trials using DoE.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering.

  • 10 years’ Quality experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or vendor oversight role.

  • Experience in metallurgy and material science, with knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and construction in the global energy sector.

  • Preferably experienced with major international energy companies.


Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledge of topsides, pipeline & subsea valve/manifold design, fabrication, testing, and inspection.

  • Advanced leadership and material engineering/failure analysis training.

  • Certified Welding Inspector; NDT Level II; ASNT-certified.

  • Certified Quality Manager and Lead Auditor; trained in ISO 9001 & API Q1/Q2.

  • Fluent in English with strong analytical, leadership, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Effective multitasker with strong prioritization ability.
