Support basic procurement services to company functions implementing sourcing strategies and related policies and procedures to ensure meeting agreed performance criteria.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce sufficient knowledge of procurement procedures in preparation for assuming role responsibilities. • Perform assigned procurement tasks and tenders within the agreed performance criteria. • Receive and review purchase requisitions for completeness and liaise with end users to resolve any outstanding issues. • Recommend relevant sourcing strategies to identify suitable suppliers and communicate with suppliers for assigned commodities, prepare bidders list and issue requests for quotations or tenders after obtaining relevant approvals. • Receive, analyze and evaluate supplier technical and commercial quotations in order to facilitate and recommend the decision-making process. • Obtain approval for variations and inform/update parties of any changes to avoid misunderstanding. • Negotiate prices, terms & conditions, delivery as applicable to satisfy business requirements and targeted savings • Maintains Price Agreements and issue related Purchase Orders while ensuring documentation is up to date and controlled for the department.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Secondary School Education (12 years). • 2 years\\\\\\\' direct experience in purchasing/procurement within the oil and gas industry.

Skills and Competencies

• Good command of written and spoken English. • Good Computer Skills. • Computer literacy (MS Office) including the use of software applications, including SAP. • Planning and target delivery skills. • Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner with internal/external clients
