Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the design and installation of all mechanical works, primarily for LPG and condensate storage tanks and solid sulphur handling, as part of the NFW Offplot development program, ensuring FEED and EPC contractors deliver technical requirements and discipline documents in full compliance with project specifications.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example in SHES and actively engage in safety activities.

  • Ensure Contractor mechanical work meets regulations, codes, and project specs.

  • Review mechanical data sheets for compliance and project risks.

  • Manage Contractor mechanical resources for timely delivery.

  • Track and close design review comments to maintain schedule and quality.

  • Participate in layout, constructability, and 3D model reviews.

  • Implement lessons learned into mechanical design deliverables.

  • Monitor Contractor progress and document issuance.

  • Support spare part identification and quantification.

  • Assist in change management and risk mitigation.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 10 years engineering experience, 6 in Oil & Gas, 2 in supervisory/contractor oversight.

  • Experienced with EPCs, vendors, and service providers.

  • Skilled across project phases, including startup, handover, and technical issue resolution.

  • Knowledgeable in planning, scheduling, cost, risk, change, commissioning, and handover.

  • Strong in engineering standards, design, and execution methodologies.

  • Experienced in risk-based decisions and continuous improvement.

  • Proficient in designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and storage tanks (ASME, API, TEMA).


Skills and Competencies
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, coordination, and planning skills.

  • Effective communication and ability to interface at all levels.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Deep knowledge of machinery discipline codes, standards, and industry practices.
