Job Description

Lead and oversee electrical engineering activities for all NFW Offplot projects, with a focus on the Onshore Common Lean LNG/LPG Storage and Loading Expansion Project. Ensure all electrical designs comply with project philosophies, specifications, and Kahramaa codes and standards.Deliver high-quality discipline outputs and provide clear technical guidance to FEED and EPC contractors, resolving technical issues to ensure electrical design meets project objectives.


 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong SHES leadership by modeling top safety standards and actively participating in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions, and site walkthroughs.

  • Ensure all electrical engineering activities comply with local regulations, codes, project specifications, and industry standards, and verify contractor/subcontractor compliance.

  • Resolve electrical discipline issues promptly to meet NFXP/NFW project objectives.

  • Apply approved design recommendations and programs to improve design integrity, reduce inefficiencies, and uphold high safety standards.

  • Oversee contractors’ electrical design and execution, ensuring adequate resources, personnel competency, and use of approved technical tools/software.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary issue resolution and provide electrical engineering support to construction, procurement, quality, commissioning, and system completion.

  • Track and report lessons learned within the assigned scope.

  • Monitor and report contractor progress.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • 8 years of engineering experience, including 4 years in Oil & Gas and 1 year in a supervisory/oversight role.

  • Background working with Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and service companies.

  • Proven experience managing contractors and vendors across multiple project phases, preferably from FEED to Start-up.

  • Experience in technology adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Exposure to sour gas and LNG onshore facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage transmission and medium-voltage distribution systems.

  • Brownfield engineering and execution experience.


Skills and Competencies
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, coordination, and planning skills.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels.

  • Skilled in mediation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, creative thinking, influencing, and empathy.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical discipline codes, standards, and industry practices.
