Job Description
The Planning Specialist is responsible for the Project Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract(s) schedule and all aspects of the Progress Measurement System. This includes development, maintenance, monitoring, controlling and integration of the EPC schedule(s) including verification and reporting in addition to ensuring that all activities comply with standardized processes and are delivered to the highest possible standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain construction and commissioning schedules aligned with approved scope.

  • Review contractor project control procedures, schedules, and progress reports for compliance and accuracy.

  • Monitor EPC contractor schedules for logic, detail, and interface alignment.

  • Integrate subcontractor, vendor, and supplier schedules into the overall EPC master schedule.

  • Track and assess contractor performance against progress and schedule control plans.

  • Evaluate schedule impacts of project changes and update master schedules accordingly.

  • Identify schedule risks, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.

  • Conduct regular progress review meetings and report project status to management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Law, Engineering, Accounting, Business Management, or related commercial discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC oil & gas capital or operating projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of project controls principles, theories, and practices.

  • At least 5 years of site/field scheduling experience.

  • Proven experience developing work methods aligned with company policies, management directives, and engineering standards

  • Able to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Effective negotiation and influencing capabilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  • Proficient in Primavera P6 (v18+), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experienced in using Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software for schedule risk assessments.
