Job Description
The Planning Specialist oversees the EPC contract schedule and the Progress Measurement System, including development, maintenance, monitoring, control, integration, verification, and reporting, ensuring all activities follow standardized processes and meet the highest quality standards

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains construction and commissioning schedules reflecting approved project scope.
  • Reviews Contractor project control procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Checks Contractor progress reports for accuracy.
  • Monitors EPC Contractor schedules for logic, detail, and interfaces.
  • Integrates subcontractor schedules into overall EPC schedules.
  • Ensures vendor and supplier schedules for critical equipment align with EPC schedules and delivery requirements.
  • Monitors Contractor performance against progress and schedule control plans.
  • Evaluates schedule impacts of project changes and updates overall schedule.
  • Advises on schedule issues, implements corrective actions, and verifies outcomes.
  • Conducts periodic progress meetings and reports status to management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 8 years in EPC oil and gas project scheduling and controls, including 5 years site experience.
  • Strong project controls knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experienced in developing work methods per company policies and standards.
  • Able to handle tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 (v18+), Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experienced in Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
