Job Description
The Planning Specialist manages the EPC contract schedule and the full progress measurement system. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, monitoring, controlling, and integrating EPC schedules; verifying and reporting progress; and ensuring all activities follow standardized processes and meet required quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain construction and commissioning schedules aligned with approved project scope.

  • Review Contractor project control procedures for compliance.

  • Verify accuracy of Contractor progress reporting.

  • Review and monitor EPC schedules for logic, detail, and interfaces.

  • Ensure subcontractor schedules are fully integrated.

  • Integrate vendor and supplier schedules and verify delivery compliance.

  • Monitor Contractor performance against progress and schedule control plans.

  • Assess schedule impacts of project changes and update the master schedule.

  • Identify schedule risks, recommend corrective actions, and confirm implementation.

  • Hold periodic progress meetings with the Contractor and report status to management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or commercial field.

  • 8+ years EPC oil and gas scheduling and controls experience.

  • Strong project controls expertise.

  • 5+ years field scheduling experience.

  • Experience developing work methods to company standards.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Able to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

  • Effective negotiation and influencing abilities

  • Proficient interpersonal skills

  • Computer literate: Primavera P6 (v18+), Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experienced in Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis
