Job Description
The Planning Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and controlling confidential schedule and cost data, evaluating schedules and plans, consolidating schedule and cost information, reporting and analyzing costs, and identifying and formulating cost-improvement recommendations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with approved scope.

  • Review contractor project control procedures for compliance.

  • Verify accuracy of contractor progress reports.

  • Review and monitor EPC contractor schedules for logic, detail, and interfaces.

  • Ensure subcontractor schedules are integrated into the overall EPC schedule.

  • Ensure vendor and supplier schedules for critical equipment and bulks are integrated.

  • Monitor and assess contractor performance against progress and schedule control plans.

  • Evaluate schedule impacts of project changes and incorporate approved revisions.

  • Identify potential schedule issues, recommend corrective actions, and verify implementation.

  • Hold periodic progress meetings with the contractor and report status to management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Management/Administration, or related commercial discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of project scheduling and controls experience for EPC oil and gas capital projects or operating companies.

  • Strong knowledge of project controls principles, theories, and concepts.

  • Minimum 7 years of site/field scheduling experience.

  • Experience developing work methods aligned with company policies, management directives, schedules, and engineering standards.

  • Strong troubleshooting ability.

  • Able to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.

  • Strong English communication skills.

  • Able to perform effectively with limited supervision.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced computer proficiency in Primavera P6, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 Version 18 or higher.

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis or similar software for schedule risk assessments.
