The NFS Onshore Lead of Quality, Fabrication Yard ensures effective implementation of the Project Quality Program at Doha and Ras Laffan yards, overseeing quality systems, coordinating inspections, and working with the contractor’s quality team to support fabrication activities.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees contractors’ construction quality performance.

• Contributes to Construction Surveillance Programs per the PQP.

• Supports and conducts surveillance assessments and participates in quality walks and toolbox talks.

• Monitors fabrication yard quality performance and reports deficiencies to the Head of QC Offplot and Infrastructure.

• Performs construction quality verifications per approved ITPs.

• Reviews ITP check sheets and deliverables for accuracy and completeness.

• Interfaces with contractors on quality matters and provides feedback on material preservation.

• Applies industry experience to enhance systems and procedures within the project’s quality framework.

• Promotes key quality processes to prevent recurring issues and drive a “right first time” culture.

• Communicates quality requirements effectively at all project levels.

Qualifications:

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and Quality Management Systems.

• Capable of quick decision-making with sound judgment and accountability.
