Job Description
Perform QA/QC inspections of materials, repairs, modifications, and replacements for static equipment, process piping, and storage tanks in compliance with company specifications, codes, and standards. Coordinate and witness destructive and non-destructive tests at plant, non-plant, warehouse, and vendor locations to ensure alignment with operational and project requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect materials and equipment for compliance with codes, specs, and purchase orders.

  • Support welding procedure development and maintain WPS/PQR and welder records.

  • Coordinate gas cylinder and portable tank inspections and maintain certifications.

  • Conduct or witness NDT/DT to ensure material compliance.

  • Provide QA/QC support during shutdowns and secure required permits.

  • Attend shutdown meetings and site visits for scope and test waivers.

  • Review contractor QA/QC documents for maintenance and project works.

  • Execute QA/QC activities (welding, NDT, heat treatment, pressure tests, GRP/FRP).

  • Close QA/QC work orders in SAP and upload reports in Meridium.

  • Audit supplier and contractor QA/QC systems and report findings.


Qualifications:
  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • AWS-SCWI or CSWIP 3.2 (or equivalent).

  • API 510, 570, 653 certifications (as applicable).

  • ASNT/PCN Level II in UT, MT, PT, RT or Advanced NDT.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in inspection, fabrication, welding, NDT, testing, and coating in oil & gas.

  • Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, ASTM, API, and NACE/ISO standards.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Computer literate with strong data analysis skills.

  • Effective leadership and interpersonal abilities.

  • Capable of supporting Engineers and providing technical guidance to the team.
