Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all Compression Platform Structural Fabrication activities from yard operations to load-out, ensuring objectives are met or exceeded. Ensure design constructability aligns with project engineering drawings and industry standards while effectively managing issues and maintaining strong coordination between company and contractor teams for full execution alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols during fabrication.
- Manage and execute CP Topsides structural fabrication to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals.
- Supervise Contractor/Subcontractor activities for compliance with project and international standards.
- Verify constructability and technical compliance of engineering deliverables.
- Review and manage deviations from construction standards and ensure proper documentation.
- Identify and resolve progress or quality issues promptly.
- Monitor and report contractor progress, highlighting critical issues.
- Coordinate structure, MC, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Participate in risk assessments, pre-job, and technical meetings.
- Support REX and Lessons Learned initiatives for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in large Oil & Gas construction projects (fabrication, installation, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.).
- At least 1 year in a supervisory, acting, or vendor oversight role.
- Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of project execution, fabrication, welding, lifting, testing, and completions.
- Experience with Oil & Gas operators, contractors, or heavy construction firms.
- Familiar with design standards, codes, and safety criteria for fabrication and installation.
- Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities and yard operations.
- Understanding of sour gas and LNG project execution risks.
- Experience in large-scale operations or project organizations.
