Job Description
The Marine Lead, serving as the Project Marine Coordinator during the Marine Execution phase, shall oversee all Marine Units’ safety and quality assurance activities, guide project teams with maritime best practices, and address technical marine challenges by developing and implementing effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee vessel suitability surveys, closeouts, and senior officer approvals with OPCO Marine.
  • Ensure valid OVID reports and conduct safety inductions before departure.
  • Review and approve MUA documents, lead safety programs, and support risk assessments.
  • Monitor MUA validity, renewals, and compliance with marine guidelines.
  • Manage inspections, defect resolution, and issue violation notes as required.
  • Support incident investigations, reporting, and review meetings.
  • Report on KPIs, manage compliance matrix, and lead demobilization and performance reviews.

Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in marine/engineering field with STCW II/2 or III/2 certification.
  • 8+ years seagoing experience, including 1 year as Chief Engineer or Master.
  • Offshore marine operations experience in oil and gas.
  • Strong technical, operational, and regulatory knowledge.
  • Familiar with international maritime standards and offshore vessel operations.
  • Middle East and MWS/OVID experience preferred.
