Lead the pre-award and post-award contracts, negotiation, and administration of contract to ensure delivery of activities in compliance with project requirements, company policies, and legal obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with project objectives and best practices.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal commercial and risk positions.
- Administer contracts, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of claims and variations.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance to ensure accountability and improvement.
- Prepare contractual correspondence, manage change orders/disputes, and validate invoices.
- Advise project teams on contract interpretation and risk mitigation.
- Draft and analyze contractual documents and change orders per requirements.
- Collaborate with Legal and Finance on complex contractual and liability issues.
- Maintain accurate contract records in compliance with procedures and audit standards.
- Support development of contract management policies, templates, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Law, Engineering, Sciences, or Supply Chain Management.
- 8+ years’ experience in contracts management or related business functions.
- Minimum 4 years in the oil & gas industry and 1 year in a supervisory or acting role.
- Strong knowledge of project functions: planning, cost control, claims, change, and contract management.
- Extensive experience with EPC contractors and subcontractors in major projects.
- Proven expertise in contract administration, claims, services, and performance management.
- Experienced in multi-disciplinary, complex, high-value project environments.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and dispute resolution.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to interpret engineering and technical documents.
