Oversees rotating and package equipment design, execution, and procurement, ensuring technical compliance and timely delivery through coordination with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides rotating and packaged equipment expertise to meet project goals and schedule.
- Oversees EPC scope, design, and optimization for cost and efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with company standards and QGPMS.
- Manages EPC contractor performance, resources, and deliverables.
- Reviews contractor progress and supports technical gap resolution.
- Oversees scope, documentation, and long-lead equipment delivery.
- Captures and shares lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Updates mechanical engineering policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 8+ years’ experience with gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, including design, controls, testing, operations, and maintenance
- 5+ years’ experience in offshore oil and gas machinery
- 2+ years’ supervisory experience leading engineers
- Experience on major projects (>$100M) preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Experience in secondment or similar roles with operating companies preferred
- Background in compression package projects
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination abilities
- Solid technical, prioritization, and management skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder interface skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
