The Marine Lead, serving as Project Marine Coordinator during the Marine Execution phase, shall oversee all Marine Units’ safety and quality assurance activities, providing expert guidance on maritime protocols and best practices. They will assess and resolve technical marine operational challenges, implementing effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Vessel Suitability Surveys, close findings, and coordinate Senior Officer approvals with OPCO Marine.
- Ensure valid OVID reports and conduct MOSI for all personnel.
- Review MUA documents, lead safety campaigns, and provide SME input on procedures and risk assessments.
- Monitor MUA validity, manage renewals, and ensure procedural compliance.
- Conduct periodic inspections, manage defects, breakdowns, and MOP violations.
- Support incident investigations, ensure reporting compliance, and share lessons learned.
- Report KPIs in Marine Progress meetings and maintain the Marine Compliance Matrix.
- Manage demobilization, MUA closeout, and performance reviews with feedback to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in marine science/engineering or Diploma with STCW II/2 or III/2.
- 8+ years seagoing experience, including 1 year as Chief Engineer or Master.
- Experienced in offshore marine operations in oil and gas.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and technical operations.
- Familiar with offshore installation, heavy lift, and subsea vessel activities.
- Middle East and MWS/OVID experience preferred.
