Job Description

Coordinate all technical quality related material science and metallurgical related efforts during the procurement of fabrication services and the procurement, design, manufacture, fabrication, delivery, installation of tangible goods and equipment for Major Projects.


 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee metallurgy and welding operations to mitigate risks in Major Projects and NFPS Projects.

  • Design and supervise material manufacturing qualification programs for mills, forges, casting, fabrication, and coating facilities.

  • Lead metallurgical investigations and root cause analysis using problem-solving tools.

  • Report to Quality Manager with technical updates and improvement recommendations.

  • Provide technical guidance on materials selection and usage to teams.

  • Oversee design and development of new equipment and infrastructure.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in materials use.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot quality and technical issues.

  • Review non-conformances, technical queries, deviations, and product/component issues.

  • Manage product development trials using Design of Experiment (DoE) principles.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering

  • 10 years Oil & Gas quality experience, including 2 years in supervisory/oversight roles

  • Expertise in metallurgy, materials science, fabrication, manufacturing, and construction for the energy industry

  • Experience with global integrated energy companies

  • Knowledge of Topsides, Pipeline, and Subsea Valve/Manifold design, fabrication, testing, and inspection

  • Formal advanced leadership training

  • Training in Material Engineering/Science & Failure Analysis from recognized institution

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

  • Minimum Level II NDT Inspector training

  • Certified Quality Manager

  • Certified Lead Auditor


Skills and Competencies
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

  • Trained in ISO 9001 / API Q1 / API Q2 Quality Management Systems

  • Certified in ASNT Level NDT and Welding Inspection

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and facilitation skills

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities

  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively
